On the morning of Sept.3, Prof. John Sharp, Prof. Derek Hill and Dr. Fu Xindong, accompanied by Ms. Wang Yufen, President and Mr. Lu Zhengjun, Vice President of Jiangsu Xiangyu Education Group inspected IVT. The visitors were welcomed by Dr. Shan Qian, President of IVT, Dr. Sun Haiquan, Vice President of IVT, Mr. Pan Weidong, Dean of President Office of IVT and Ms. Chen Yingli, an English teacher from Foreign Language Department.

University of Salford, founded in 1896, is one of the most prestigious universities in UK and is widely known for its emphasis on vocational education. Prof. John Sharp and Prof. Derek Hill are both outstanding scholars from Business College of Salford University and the main purpose of their visit is to make initial discussions about cooperation education.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Shan briefly introduced the history of IVT and its education ideas. Then, Dr. Shan and Dr. Sun recommended a few cooperation education patterns in practice and consulted with the guests about the cooperation methods. After that, they visited the training labs. Prof. John Sharp and Prof. Derek Hill spoke highly of the teaching environment and education concepts. They also introduced in details the ideas and patterns of international education cooperation of Salford University.

The meeting was pleasant and successful and has laid a good foundation for further cooperation. It is reported that IVT will keep in touch with University of Salford, and the both parties will, based on the premise of seeking common ground while reserving differences and mutual benefits, achieve a breakthrough in intercollege cooperation.
