Dr. Daniel Little who is the president of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, America, visited our college days ago.  He received a warm reception from Dr. Shan, president of IVT.

        The University of Michigan is not only one of the 10 most famous universities in Midwest America, but also one of the top U.S. public universities. The university consists of three independent colleges, located in Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint. Dr Daniel Little is the president of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and also a philosophy professor. His main research covers politics and sociality.

      This is the second visit that Dr. Little paid to IVT. President Shan showed Dr Daniel around our new campus and introduced to him "people-oriented" philosophy in its designing. Dr. Little highly praised the atmosphere in new campus, as well as its tenet of running school. They also discussed possibilities of teachers' training, curriculum development, student exchange between UM and IVT.

     After discussion, Dr. Little visited Suzhou Kunqu Museum, Pingtan Museum, and also the wonderful example of Suzhou Gardens-the Humble Administrator's Garden, which always brings to foreign guests the specific charm of Chinese classical gardens.
